It's great that you've acknowledge being overweight and the important thing is you now go on program that allows you to make diet and or exercise improvements to your life at a healthy pace. What I mean by that is you don't want to go on a program that too intense or complex because this can be a detriment to your health, can injure you and can overwhelm you to the point that you quit your program.
Choose a diet program that isn't very complex and can incorporate most of the foods that you love. The program should give you healthier alternatives to foods that you normally eat. It's astonishing but your diet is responsible for 80% of your weight loss goals so, this is very critical to any success you have.
The other choice is choosing a good training program. First consider what kind of body shape you're aiming for. Do you want a muscular build? A slim and lean build? Or do you want an athletic body shape? Consider what if, any physical issues you have and then go from there. Whatever, choice you make I suggest that you ease into the program and go at a challenging and healthy pace. You don't want to injure yourself by working out too much or too intensely.
Another important factor for those that cannot seem to lose weight is consistency. It's natural to have setbacks when making healthy changes to your diet or exercise habits but the important thing is not to get discouraged. Recognize that you've had a setback, try to learn about what triggered it and avoid that from occurring again. Be consistent with your routine, stick with it and the weight loss results will come. In no time you'll have that amazing body, be healthier and happier!
