Make This One Diet Mistake and You Won't Lose Weight!

With so much information on the market about how to lose weight, why are we so poor at it? Why are we not getting the results we desire? One would think that anyone could drop 10 pounds or more in a week or two, as outlined in the tabloids. Well, we all understand this is not the case. We fail mainly because we make the wrong decision at the out set of our dieting plans.

Think about it. We go to the doctor and he tells us to lose weight, or someone we are attracted to shuns us because we are a little bigger than they think we should be according to their tastes. Whatever the reason we feel we need to lose weight right now. We want to see the pounds come off immediately. The idea of waiting 1 week to see a 2-3 pound weight loss is unacceptable.

This is our first and most critical mistake. Don't make this huge blunder. Here is what happens. We decide we want to lose weight really fast so we cut out all of the things we really like to eat. Let's admit it, some of these foods are junk foods. We also tell ourselves we are going to eat way too few calories than we should. It's called calorie deprivation and it is the reason so many people fail.

Decide on a personalized diet plan that you will feel good about. Do not cut your calorie intake by more than 500 calories a day each 2 weeks. So if you are eating 3000 calories a day and you want to get to 1500 calories then the first two weeks you will cut your intake to 2500 calories and then in two more weeks down to 2000.
