This tactic ensures that you will get through your day without having to stop off at the convenience store for a snack, to hold you back until dinner time. This strategy also works for indulgences. Tell yourself you can only have junk food on Saturday and soon enough, the craving won't creep up on you until then. By the time Saturday comes around, you have the choice to take it or leave it until next week.
